Chap. 7 The Story

In which the Tucks tell a rather unbelievable story. The only thing worse than being kidnapped is being kidnapped by people who are completely insane...or are they?

I sort of had a visualization when Jesse said "Heck, we were going to live forever. Can you picture what it felt like to find that out." I could probably picture it. I would not be able to bear it. Would that mean. I'd still be alive after the world blows up? I'd be floating. Alone. In space. FOREVER!!!
I'd sooner destroy the world before living forever.

On page 40-41 I had a connection. When Angus Tuck shot himself and like water went right through him it reminded me of Terminator 2: Judgement Day. In T2 there's a robot made out of liquid metal. So when it was shot like Tuck the bullet wound healed up quickly and didn't leave a mark.

Paragraph:4
Visualization
Bigphillip says:
While I was reading this chapter I had a mental picture in my head. The sentance that created this picture was the folowing. "He took his shotgun and he pointed it at hisself the best way he could, and before we could stop him, he pulled the trigger". In my head I saw a man picking up a lage shotgun and pointing it at his head, then shoting it. I felt so afraid.

On page 37 of chapter 7, I could really visualize the children at their mother's knee, trying to get her attention. I pictured the children talking all at once, with eagerness in their eyes. The mother, would look happy for they were interested and she had the attention. I could really visualize this because my little sister sometimes does that!

I made a inference on page 40

I think that the reason that they would not drink the water is that she would stay the same for ever.

bubbafranks says,

When the story said that Angus wanted to shoot himself to find out if the water was going to make the Tuck's live forever, i had a question. I wondered why he would shoot himself. Wasn't he scared that he would kill himself? Why didn't he even ask his family if he should? I think it would be pretty scary to shoot yourself...

in this chapter i read it and then put myself in the place of winnie and i'd just be like, in my head "these people are insane!" i'd probably be scared out of my mind.

I had a star or important mark in the middle of the 38th page. The quote was "We all took a drink, even the horse." I noticed this immediately because I knew then that the Tucks got immortal from that stream. What also caught my attention was that it was the same stream not a different one.

On page 37 I put a star next to the story that Mae told Winnie because I thought that the story was an important part of the book.

I had a connection on page 41 where it said, "... never grow up," My connection was to the movie Peter Pan because in it Peter says he is never going to grow up and Jesse is never going to grow up. That was my connection.

I put a visualization sign when they were explaining how their Pa had carved a T in the tree. I could visualize the T and it's size, shape, and texture.

I synthnthesised when the told about the spring. This was the spring that Jesse wouldn't let Winnie drink from.

i put a star on page 41 at the end of the first paragraph.
i put a star there because it said that when Angus shot himself the bullet went right through him and didnt even leave a mark, i thought about the title Tuck EVERLASTING and relized because they drank from the spring, they would live forever.

Olga Kiev says:

I thought that chapter 7 was a very important chapter because they tell Winnie their life story. They also said that she is the only one who knows about this. I also infered that this is way you told us to make a sequencing brian frame on chapter 7.

I thought it was important on page39 when they sta... I thought it was important on page39 when they started listing the many things that happened to them that otherwise would have killed them. I knew it was important because this was the everlasting part of Tuck Everlasting. They would everlast and live forever.

I question on page 41. The story said that Jesse was grinning after he said that they went kind of crazy when they figured out that the tucks were eternal. Why would someone grin after they where going crazy?

I sinthesized on page 35 when Mae played the music box. I realized Winnies grandmother had said she had heard the music box a long time ago so I figured that Mae was very old. I did not get it because Mae was not a grandmother age.

I thought that chapter 7 was really important because it they tell Winnie their life story. They said they never told anybody else. I aslo infered that is why you told use to make a sequecing brain frame.

BASEBALL77:

I had determining whats important on page 38 when mae said "The cat didn't drink anything, that's important." This was important in the story because the cat died later on unlike the Tucks.

On page 41,I tried to think what it would be like if I stayed at my age forever.Well there are some goods and bads like not getting hurt or watching the world suffer in a war.

on page 38 it said that the cat not drinking from the spring was not important. i had a question why was that not important.

I had a visualization of Winifred having a weird, surprised look on her face (like what the heck are you talking about) when they told her about living forever
