I had a question about when the man in the yellow suit said "i know where she is " i was wondering about why and who is he talking about at the moment.
Chapter 15: I made an inference on page 74 where it said, "'...Now, understand, I wouldn't cut down many of the trees...'" My inference was that the man in the yellow hat was tring to coax the Fosters into letting him take or have some of the wood. That was the inference I made.
I had an inference in the middle of the 74th page. The quote was "Horrible thing, kidnapping." When the man in the yellow suit said that, I had an inference because when the Tucks kidnapped Winnie it was probably the best thing to do in that situation.
I had a question in the beginning of the 76th page. The quote was the constable was fat, and he was sleepy. My question was what is a constable? I thought he might be some sort of police officer because he was talking about the kidnap of Winnie
On page 75, where the man in the yellow suit was taking about how he wants the wood, I predicted tht he was going to spread the news about the spring as soon as he got it. I hope the people have the common sense not to drink the water.
On page 76, I inferred after the constable said "Seems to me as if weuld have waited til' dawn" tha he was a very grumpy constable, because constables really shouldn't complain about what time they have to do something, and say they'd do it later.
On page 87, in inferred that Winnie wanted miles to put the fish back because she couldn't stand to see it dying. She must have really changed her opinion on that since she heard about the spring. My inference was right.
Chapter 15: on page 74 I inferred that the man in the yellow suit is a greedy and a con man. I think he is going to sell the woods for a very high price.
on page 104, I had a question. I didn't know why Tuck was so afraid about Mae going to the gallows, because Mae wouldn't be able to die because the spring ade it so the Tucks couldn't get hurt or die.
The last one was actually chapter 19. This is chapter 18.
I had a connection where it said Winnie licked the syrup from her fingers. Whenever I have waffles, and there's syrup left on the knife from when I cut the waffls, I like to lick the syrup off the fork. I don't usually get it on my fingers, but if I did, I'd lick it off.
Also, I forgot that they all had to be different strategies so, for chapter 16:
I could visualize The dark hills slowly brightening up, as a teeny bit of light comes from the very top, shining over the hills, signaling the start of the day.
Page:75 Paragraph:1 Prediction Bigphillip says: As I was reading this book I thought about the folowing sentance." I want the wood and you want the child". I predicted that the man in the yellow suit will want them to give him there wood, and he will lead them to Winnie.
Chapter 16: I made a prediction on page 79 where it said, "'...don't do nothing till I get there. Those...'" My prediction was that the man in the yellow hat was going to get Winnie before they do and then hurt her in some way, but I'm not sure what he's going to do to her, but I think somthing. That was the prediction I made.
Chapter 17: I made a connection on page 82 where it said, "'... help me catch some fish for breakfast.'" My connection was when we (my family) went to Israel there was always fish for breakfst because it was something that Israeli's eat for breakfast. It was like real FISH not smoked salmon or lox but like fish with heads!!!! It wasn't really my thing that I liked to eat and it seemed like Winnie didn't like it either (or atleast she didn't want to go out and catch it!) That was the connection I made.
I had a connection on page 87 becausse when miles caught the fish willie was kinds whinning to put it back and i caught a fish once and wanted to put it back but it endend up dieing and i was kinda whinning
On page 99, when it says, "Mae was standing just outside the doorway. She held Tuck's long-forgotten shotgun by the barrel, like a club." I don't think that she was going to shoot him but the constable would come just in time to see her holding the gun pointed at the man and arrest them.
Chaprer 16 Page:77 Paragraph:7 Visualization Bigphillip says: As I was reading this book the following sentance produce a mental picture in my mind."The constable ran his fingers down the gleaming barrel of the shotgun". I can see a man who is gliding his fingers against the barrel of a shotgun.
On chapter 18 page 83, I had a connection when Miles ask Winnie if she had gone fishing. 3 or 4 summers ago, I went fishing in the Charles river at camp. I caught a few fish but I mostly caught rocks, twigs, and branches.
Chapter 17 Page:86 Paragraph:5 Connection Bigphillip says: While I was reading this book I remembered that I experianced something that was said in the following sentance. "Someday, said Miles, I'll find a way to do something important". When I was little I always thought that someday I will do something important. I thought that I can do something heroic or acheve great goals.
In chapter 19 page 99, I could see that Mae angrily holding Tuck's shotgun by the barrel about to ether hit the man in the yellow suit, threaten to hit him, or shoot him.
on page 104, I had a question. I didn't know why Tuck was so afraid about Mae going to the gallows, because Mae wouldn't be able to die because the spring ade it so the Tucks couldn't get hurt or die.
Was chapter 20. THIS is chapter 19.
I had a question where it said "a nervous petulance came into his voice" I didn't know what petulance was. I guessed it was another word for urgency.
Chapter 18 Page:92 Paragraph:2 Question Bigphillip says: As I was reading this book I questioned the following sentances. "The man in the yellow suit. And he was saying, good morning, Mrs. Tuck. It is Mrs. Tuck, isn't it. May I come in?" I wondered why Mrs. Tuck let the man in the yellow suit come into the house.
Chapter 19 Page:93 Paragraph:1 Prediction Bigphillip says: As I was reading this book I predicted what is goin to happen next. The following sentance produced helped me think of it. "I've come to take you home". I predicted that he isn't really going to tske her home, he will take her somewhere els.
I had a qyestion in the middle of the 82nd page. My connection was that when Miles said "Look out for the hooks." I had a connection I once went fishing in Brazil and I accidentily stabbed the hook through my finger. It really hurt so I hoped it did not happen to Winnie.
I had a prediction near the end of the 91st page. When it said that someone kncked on the door I had a prediction that it was the man in the yellow suit and that they had come to take Winnie back. I did not think it could be anyone else.
Where it said Mae swung the shotgun around her head like a wheel I could visualize a mad look on her face an d the shotgun spinning, preparing to hit the man in the yellow suit. I was surprised when she actually knocked him out.
Chapter 15: I had a visuilazation on page 73 where it said the man in the yellow suit had his hat hung on his knee. I could picture everything from that to the angle of the hat.
Chapter 16: I had a question on page 76 when it sai the constale was fat, and he was sleepy. I wondered what a constable was. I guessed it was someone important and a friend of the man in the yellow suit because he was talking about Winnnie to the man.
somwhere along page 99, i thought way back to the begining of the book. as the man in the yellow siut told his story, it relized that when he came to the fosters gate looking for someon, he was looking for the tucks. that is how the 3 things in the prologue relate!!! i dont think that they relate THAT much , or as much as they could have, but its OK.
Chapter 17:I had a connection on page 83 when Miles was asking Winnie if she had ever been fishing. I go fishing with my Mom and Papa and I love the experience and I have A LOT of fun doing it. Plus, I must say that I catch some fish along the way!
On chapter 16 page 76 I had a question. My question is:What is a constable? From what I read and past references I think it's the head cop of the town.
Chapter 18: I had a prediction on page 91 where they were eating and someone knocked on the Tuck's door. My prediction was that the person knocking at the door was the man in the yellow suit and/or the constable. I think he/they were looking for Winnie.
In chapter 17 page 85 I had a connection. When Winnie says I wish everything in the world would live forever I thought remembered I've thought about this many times before. In end though I always came back to Miles responce wouldn't we all be squished
I could really picture the man in the yellow suit on page 73. He seemed like a serious and stiff person. He also seemed to be a selfish person because he bribed the Foster's for their wood in exchange for Winnie. I pictured him with his chin up high and with a smile on his face. I also thought that he was self-centered too. He is a person that I do not want to meet!
I could visualize the constable on page 76 of chapter 16. He was fat and lazy and slept a lot. I thought he was a little like he was a little like someone I know because they both are lazy and don't like to do things. Although Babbitt didn't include any figurative language in this sentence, I could still picture him really well!
I had a connection on page 83 of chapter 17. I remembered when I was gardening that my hands would look like Miles's. It would have dirt under the nails. When I read about Miles's hand, it brang me back to the days where I was gardening!
I had an inference on page 91 of chapter 18. There was a knock on the door so I infered that it would be the man in the yellow suit because he was going to the Foster's house to bring back Winnie. At that momment, I was really worried because I wondered what his actons would be and what he sould say. Later, I found out that he didn't phisically hurt them but he did hurt Miles when he mentioned about Anna (his daughter).
I had a question on page 100 of chapter 19. I was wondering what Mae was going to do with the shotgun. I thought that she couldn't possibly shoot the man in the yellow suit because she was such a good lady. But then, what would she do since the man in the yellow suit was taking Winnie away? I found out later that she hit the man in the back of his head with a crack. I'm glad that she didn't shoot him! I'm still wondering if she broke his skull though!
Chapter 15-- on page 74 when it said "It would mean a great deal to me to own it" I had a prediction that he was going to find Winnie for the Fosters if they gave him the forest.
Chapter 16-- on page 76 I had a visualazation of the constable talking to the man in the yellow. He is a middle aged man with hair that is turning gray and he's very tired and he's pretty round in the middle.
Chapter 18--I had an inference on page 90 where it said "What are we going to do without the horses?" my inference was that they were going to be getting their horses back soon.
Chapter 19-- on page 96 I put a star next to the place where the yellow man was talking about his grandmother's friend who married a man who never got older. I thought that was a really immportant part in the book.
i had an inference on page 77 when the constable man said his horse was not strong. i infered that the horse had trouble carrying the police officer because he was so fat!
in chapter 15 when the fosters all had shocked faces after the MIYS explained his traid, i infered they did not agree with the trade. the MIYS probably saw that to, but did not want them to say no
this is just to say that i finished the book on accident .......................oops, sorry, i wont ruin it far anyone. . the climax was good. so i kept reading, and reading, and reading........
On chapter 19 page 100 (the last page) I had a visulization of Mae swing the shot gun and hitting "the man in the yellow suit" and I could almost hear the craking sound the author described. I also saw the constable standing there after the all the action ended.
ON page 75 of chap. 15, I visualized the Foster's "shocked" faces when the Yellow suited man got their house for him getting Winnie back home. I imagined 3 really pale faces and, from some movie, someone fainting.
On page 79 of chap. 16, i had a prediction where the yellow suit guy says to the constable,"I'll tell you how to get there, and I'll go on ahead and keep watch." I predicted that somehow, the yellow suit guy would betray or backstab the constable. that would be exciting...
On page 84 of chap. 17, i had a question when Miles was talking about how old his son and daughter were. My question was since Miles drank from the spring before he had his children, would his kids live forever too or atleast live longer?
At the end of chapter 18, I put a star there because when the yellow suit guy walked in, I thought something very important was going to happen. Was he going to steal Winnie from them? Would a fight break out? Anyways, I knew something important would happen.
Chap:15 When the man in the yellow suit was trying to make a bargain of bringing Winnie home for the whole woods I was wondering why he was blackmailing them and I figured out that he wanted to market the spring water.
On Chapter 15, Page 75 I thought that it was important that he owned the wood, so I put a star there. I think he might sell the spring water for a lot of money.
Chap:17 When Miles took Winnie fishing I made a connection. Whenever I go to my grandparents lake I usually go fishing in the morning or at night when the lake is still. I usually don't fish to eat them though.
I had a Connection on Chapter 16, page 78.In the beggining of the book we talked about connections to jail from the book. On page 78 I noticed that they said they have gallows in the town to keep down the trouble.
Chap:18 I made a prediction that Miles was falling in love with Winnie as well and that there would be a fiht between Miles and Jesse. Nothing has really been said about it and now I don't think that it will ever happen.
Chap:19 It was funny to visualize Mae Tuck holding a gun threatiningly at the man in the yellow suit. I could see her raising it above her head like club and blocking the door so that nobody especially the man in the yellow suit could get through.
On page 99 of chapter 19 I inferred that when it says Mae was holding the shotgun like a club, she didn't intend to kill the man, because then would hold it like she was going to shoot it, but only to scare him out of taking Winnie.
I could really imagine the frog sissoring away from the shore in the pond on page 82. Also I could see the little fish fliting at the bottom of the pond through glass-clear water.
On Chapter 18 I had a connection to Mr.Miller's music class. We watched a movie to learn about plays and the music in the plays. According to Mr.Miller the two main charcters go smitten for each other.(mad love.)Maybe Winnie and Jesse are smitten too ?
Chapter 18: I made a visualization on page 90 where it said, "'Still, we got things to discuss,'" I saw in my mind Tuck saying those words to the family. To me he looked very serious when he said those words and thsy souned like he knew for sure what he was talking about. That was the visualization I made.
I had an inference on page 74. When the man in the yellow hat said "it looks like I'm the only person in the whole world who knows where to find her", I infered that he was acting very proud of himself, but in a bad way.
I had a question on page 78. The constable said "Circuit judge'll be coming through next week". My question was what was a Cicuit? I thought it might be some important police officer or jugde.
Chapter 19: I synthesized a part of the book on page 96 where it said, "'... I heard that music box...'" I sythesized that since his grandmother's friend had a daughter that married Miles and left him, she, Anna had the music box so she probably left it with Miles when she left. So if Miles had it and they were in the wood where Winnie was when she heard it and was talking to the man in the yellow hat. That is why when they heard that music the man left because he remembered the tune so he followed it and that is how the man in the yellow hat found the Tucks. It took a lot of thinking to understand that, but it helped me when I finally figured it out. That is what I sythesized.
I had a connection on page 86. When Winnie asks Miles what he wants to do in his long life, Miles replys "something important", I remembered that we did a brain frame in english class about why it is good or bad to live forever. Someone said that a good reason to live forever is that you can do something important, like savig someone form a burning building without getting killed.
I made a prediction on page 91. When the Tucks and Winnie were eating breakfast and someone Knocked on the front door, I thought that it would be the man in the yellow suit. I read on later and figured out that I was right.
I had a big visuilization on page 100. When the man in the yellow suit took Winnie by the hand and was taking her away, I could imagine Mae, swinging the shotgun above her head, with an angry look in her eyes, and then chucking it at the man in the yellow suit's head.
Chapter 15 page 74 line 4 I had a infrence when tthe man in the yellow suit said I wont cut down to many trees I realized him telling them he knows were Winnie is was all sortof a con he didn't really care for Winnie he just wanted wood and probobly would con the Fosters some more later in the storie.
Chapter 17 page 81 line 1I had a qwestion when it said for the second morning ina row Winnie Foster woke early i wondered why she was waking early then thaught she had a lot on her mind like this whole kidnap thing.
Chapter 19 page 93 line 3 I thought it was veryy important that the Tucks , Winnie and the man in the yellow suit were all at the parlor and so I thought that the man would take her away and wouldn't that be dredful and a dramatic/ important change in whats going on in the storie.
Chapter 15 I could visulize how the moonlight silvered the roof on the touch-me-not cottage. Chapter 17 I puta star next to the part where it says that Miles looked like Jeese beause you can tell what Miles looks like.
I could visualize Winnie and Miles walking down the stairs, going to the row boat and setting out to get some fish on the misty waters. It’s a big, red rowboat that says “Tucks” on it. The lake is big and smooth.
I'm going to make an inference that the man in the yellow suit wants to have the forest in his possesion because of something to do with the fact that he was sorta close when Mae, Miles, and Jesse kidnapped Winnie and that also means that he was near when Jesse drank from the spring, so I'm guessing that the facts are all somehow related.
for chapter 15 i'm predicting that the fosters are going to give the man in the yellow suit the forest for winnie and he's going to try to profit off of the forest or the spring somehow.
Page 73 Visualization Quote: " In Treegap, the same moonlight silvered the roof of the touch-me-not cottage, but inside, the lamps were burning."
Icould really visualize the shades ppulled down and just a hint of light from the moon was shining but in the windows of the house the lamps were VERY bright and obnouxious to everything outside.
Inference Page 81 Quote:"...a toad hopped suddenly into veiw and Winnie peered at it..." I inferred that the toad was the same toad that Winnie had noticed earlier in the story, i thoguht maybe it was a sign that something was coming.
Prediction Page 93 Quote:"The man in the yellow suit came into the sunlit parlor."
Right from the start of the chapter i was thinking "The tucks are going to have to kill MITYS if he knows about the spring if they dont want the word to get out."
How does the man in the yellow suit plan on getting Winnie back? It would be difficult because the Tucks can not be harmed. I also wonder why he never allowed the Fosters to speak, he always answered for them. The man in the yellow suit also did not want the Fosters to join him in their search for Winnie, why?
I made a inference on pages 76-77. "How come you're so deep in it...Maybe you're in cahoots with the kidnappers, how do I know"? The man in the yellow suit cares about getting Winnie back so he can keep the woods he bargained for with the Fosters.
I made a connection with Winnie. Winnie did not want the fish to die and asked Miles to throw it back into the water. "Put it back, Miles...Put it back right away".
I also love animals and and don't like to see them suffer.
Why is Winnie gaining a fondness for the Tucks? What does she see differently that she has not seen in the past about her thoughts toward the Tucks? Is Winnie losing her perfect behavior?
On page 91 I had a connection when there was a knocking on the door and Mae dropped her fork. Sometimes my dog starts barking when I'm doing my homework and I drop my pencil.
I made a prediction on the first page of chapter 15. When the man in the yellow suit said "' I know where she is.'" I immeadiatly knew he was going to bring them to her. I thought he would do that with no exeptions;he would show them her with no charge. I was wrong.
I had a question on page 77 when mitis said "they've-uh-sold me their wood." I questioned this because i was not sure why he said "uh." To me that sounds unasurring.
i had a connection on page 82 when Winnie was looking into the water. On my families boat I love to look into the water and see all of the small fish so I iknew how good Winnie felt.

In chapter 17 page 85 I had a connection. When Winnie says I wish everything in the world would live forever I thought remembered I've thought about this many times before. In end though I always came back to Miles responce wouldn't we all be squished
Chapter 15:
Visualization
I could really picture the man in the yellow suit on page 73. He seemed like a serious and stiff person. He also seemed to be a selfish person because he bribed the Foster's for their wood in exchange for Winnie. I pictured him with his chin up high and with a smile on his face. I also thought that he was self-centered too. He is a person that I do not want to meet!
Chapter 16:
Visualization
I could visualize the constable on page 76 of chapter 16. He was fat and lazy and slept a lot. I thought he was a little like he was a little like someone I know because they both are lazy and don't like to do things. Although Babbitt didn't include any figurative language in this sentence, I could still picture him really well!
Chapter 17:
Connection
I had a connection on page 83 of chapter 17. I remembered when I was gardening that my hands would look like Miles's. It would have dirt under the nails. When I read about Miles's hand, it brang me back to the days where I was gardening!
Chapter 18:
Inference
I had an inference on page 91 of chapter 18. There was a knock on the door so I infered that it would be the man in the yellow suit because he was going to the Foster's house to bring back Winnie. At that momment, I was really worried because I wondered what his actons would be and what he sould say. Later, I found out that he didn't phisically hurt them but he did hurt Miles when he mentioned about Anna (his daughter).
Chapter 19:
Question
I had a question on page 100 of chapter 19. I was wondering what Mae was going to do with the shotgun. I thought that she couldn't possibly shoot the man in the yellow suit because she was such a good lady. But then, what would she do since the man in the yellow suit was taking Winnie away? I found out later that she hit the man in the back of his head with a crack. I'm glad that she didn't shoot him! I'm still wondering if she broke his skull though!
Chapter 15-- on page 74 when it said "It would mean a great deal to me to own it" I had a prediction that he was going to find Winnie for the Fosters if they gave him the forest.
bob lee says, in chapter 15 i why does the man in the hat want the forest.
boblee says, in chapter 16 i thought that the man in the yellow hat knew about the spring so he wanted the forest.
bob lee says, in chapter 17 i made a visuavation about the ring of trees around the pond and it reminded me of a place in wisconson.
boblee says, in chapter 18 i made an inferece that the man in the hat was smart.
Chapter 16-- on page 76 I had a visualazation of the constable talking to the man in the yellow. He is a middle aged man with hair that is turning gray and he's very tired and he's pretty round in the middle.
bob lee says, why did she have the gun?
Chapter 17-- on page 84 I had a question. Why does he only talk about one of his kids? Does he only remember one of their names?
On chapter 18 page 91 I had a prediction that the man knocking on the door was "the man in the yellow suit".
Chap:16 When the constable was described I could visualize a fat and sleepy looking man that didn't look like he wanted to be disturbed.
I have a question on Page 95, Chapter 19. Why does Miles whisper his daughters name and not his son's?
Chapter 18:
I made a visualization on page 90 where it said, "'Still, we got things to discuss,'" I saw in my mind Tuck saying those words to the family. To me he looked very serious when he said those words and thsy souned like he knew for sure what he was talking about. That was the visualization I made.

Chapter 15:
I had an inference on page 74. When the man in the yellow hat said "it looks like I'm the only person in the whole world who knows where to find her", I infered that he was acting very proud of himself, but in a bad way.
Vid Gorton said...
Ghapter 16:
I had a question on page 78. The constable said "Circuit judge'll be coming through next week". My question was what was a Cicuit? I thought it might be some important police officer or jugde.
Chapter 19:
I synthesized a part of the book on page 96 where it said, "'...
Vid Gorton says...
Chapter 17:
I had a connection on page 86. When Winnie asks Miles what he wants to do in his long life, Miles replys "something important", I remembered that we did a brain frame in english class about why it is good or bad to live forever. Someone said that a good reason to live forever is that you can do something important, like savig someone form a burning building without getting killed.
Vid Gorton says...
Chapter 18:
I made a prediction on page 91. When the Tucks and Winnie were eating breakfast and someone Knocked on the front door, I thought that it would be the man in the yellow suit. I read on later and figured out that I was right.
Vid Gorton says...
Chapter 19:
I had a big visuilization on page 100. When the man in the yellow suit took Winnie by the hand and was taking her away, I could imagine Mae, swinging the shotgun above her head, with an angry look in her eyes, and then chucking it at the man in the yellow suit's head.
Chapter 15 page 74 line 4 I had a infrence when tthe man in the yellow suit said I wont cut down to many trees I realized him telling them he knows were Winnie is was all sortof a con he didn't really care for Winnie he just wanted wood and probobly would con the Fosters some more later in the storie.
Chapter 16 page 77 line 1 I qwestionedwhat does cahoots mean? But then I infered by the rest of the sentence that it ment together/ in alliance.
Chapter 17 page 81 line 1I had a qwestion when it said for the second morning ina row Winnie Foster woke early i wondered why she was waking early then thaught she had a lot on her mind like this whole kidnap thing.
Chapter 8 page 90 line 20I infered when Winnie had a rush of happiness she felt right at home even though she was kidnapped.
Chapter 19 page 93 line 3 I thought it was veryy important that the Tucks , Winnie and the man in the yellow suit were all at the parlor and so I thought that the man would take her away and wouldn't that be dredful and a dramatic/ important change in whats going on in the storie.
chapter:15
On page 75 i had a prediction that the man in the yellow suit is going to sell the liquid in the pond.
Olga Kiev says:
Chapter 15
I could visulize how the moonlight silvered the roof on the touch-me-not cottage.
Chapter 17
I puta star next to the part where it says that Miles looked like Jeese beause you can tell what Miles looks like.
Chapter 15:
On page 73 how did the man in the yellow suit make a deal without the Fosters even saying anything?
Chapter 16:
Why does the town have a jailhouse and no one uses it? Maybe it's because they thought people were going to use it but they haven't yet.
Chapter 17:
How come they're eating pancakes for dinner and now they're eating fish for breakfast?
Chapter 18:
Why did the man in the yellow suit want the forest so much? I found out later in the book that he wanted it to sell the everlasting water.
On page 74 I pictured what the man in the yellow looked like when he made the deal, smiling greedily.
I had a connection on page 77 when the constable said "20 miles" I feel that way when I have to wake up in the morning.
As I was reading chapter 17 I synthesized that this guy in the yellow suit is definitively going to use the forest for dark intentions.
Chapter 17 - visualization
I could visualize Winnie and Miles walking down the stairs, going to the row boat and setting out to get some fish on the misty waters. It’s a big, red rowboat that says “Tucks” on it. The lake is big and smooth.
Chapter 16:
I could picture the fat constable on the small horse.
Chapter 15:
on page 75, I could picture everyone's shocked faces as if someone were just shot.
Chapter 18:
From page 92, I could picture the man in the yellow suit asking to come in and the look on their astonished faces because they had a visitor.
I could visualize while I read the man in the yellow suit, tall and slim with gray-blackish dark hair and an evil grin sprouting from his face.
on page 90 visualized
i could visulize a butiful sight with all different colors
Page 73
Visualization
Quote: " In Treegap, the same moonlight silvered the roof of the touch-me-not cottage, but inside, the lamps were burning."
Icould really visualize the shades ppulled down and just a hint of light from the moon was shining but in the windows of the house the lamps were VERY bright and obnouxious to everything outside.
I had a question
Page 76
Quote:"The constable was fat, and he was sleepy.
I asked myself ,"Who is the constable, is it M.I.T.Y.S?
Inference
Page 81
Quote:"...a toad hopped suddenly into veiw and Winnie peered at it..."
I inferred that the toad was the same toad that Winnie had noticed earlier in the story, i thoguht maybe it was a sign that something was coming.
Question
page 92
Quote:"Winnie recognized the voice at once.It was a rich and pleasent voice."
My question was " I wonder who it was at the door?Maybe it was MITYS or Winnies parents", I wasnt sure. It ended up being MITYS.
Prediction
Page 93
Quote:"The man in the yellow suit came into the sunlit parlor."
Right from the start of the chapter i was thinking "The tucks are going to have to kill MITYS if he knows about the spring if they dont want the word to get out."
I was correct in the end.
Chapter 15
Page 73 - 75
Question
How does the man in the yellow suit plan on getting Winnie back? It would be difficult because the Tucks can not be harmed. I also wonder why he never allowed the Fosters to speak, he always answered for them. The man in the yellow suit also did not want the Fosters to join him in their search for Winnie, why?
Chapter 17
Page 76 -77
Inference
I made a inference on pages 76-77. "How come you're so deep in it...Maybe you're in cahoots with the kidnappers, how do I know"? The man in the yellow suit cares about getting Winnie back so he can keep the woods he bargained for with the Fosters.
Chapter 17
Page 87-88
Connection
I made a connection with Winnie. Winnie did not want the fish to die and asked Miles to throw it back into the water. "Put it back, Miles...Put it back right away".
I also love animals and and don't like to see them suffer.
Chapter 18
Pages 91-92
Question
On page 98 i visualized mitys saying "...but who wouldent give a fortune to live forever?" I could see him saying it ignorantly and standing tall.
